The Communication Style Questionnaire is made up of a series of statements about your physical behaviour in the workplace and what is observable. The outcome of this questionnaire will only be useful if you approach each statement honestly and candidly. Please give each statement careful attention.
This questionnaire has been designed to allow you to reflect on what you do on a day-to-day basis at work. Rate yourself in terms of which statement reflects what you do. Base your responses on your typical behaviour when you are in situations where you need to interact with others at work.
There is no right or wrong answer, therefore, be as candid as possible. The questionnaire will only be of value if you give an accurate and objective description of how you behave in the workplace when interacting with others.
How do I use the report?
You can use the report to develop a personal action plan to improve in areas where there are gaps, both immediately and for the medium term. Some of these you could try on-the-job immediately to start experimenting and seeing immediate benefits.
You may also want to spend some time with a coach to do a debrief on the results of the report, and to plan next steps.
